Who goes first?
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
The Prophet collected every two martyrs of Uhud (in one grave) and then he would ask, "Which of them knew the Quran more?" And if one of them was pointed out for him as having more knowledge, he would put him first in the Lahd. The Prophet said, "I will be a witness on these on the Day of Resurrection." Then he ordered them to be buried with their blood on their bodies and he did not have them washed.

Before people were honoured according to the knowledge of Islam but sadly today, people are honoured according to the knowledge of this material world.
May Allah give us the ability to appreciate those who excel in the knowledge of Islam.

Once there was a king who told some of his workers to dig a pond. Once the pond was dug, the king made an announcement to his people saying that one person from each household has to bring a glass of milk during the night and pour it into the pond. So, the pond should be full of milk by the morning. After receiving the order, everyone went home. One man prepared to take the milk during the night. He thought that since everyone will bring milk, he could just hide a glass of water and pour inside the pond. Because it will be dark at night, no one will notice. So he quickly went and poured the water in the pond and came back. In the morning, the king came to visit the pond and to his surprise the pond was only filled with water! What has happened is that everyone was thinking like the other man that "I don't have to put the milk, someone else will do it."
Dear friends, when it comes to help the Religion of Allah, do not think that others will take care of it. Rather, it starts from you, if you don't do it, no one else will do it. So, change yourself to the way of Allah to serve Him and that will make the difference.

Abu Hurairah narrates: Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) once asked us: Who is fasting today? Abu Bakr said: I am. Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who followed a bier today? Abu Bakr said: I did. Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who fed a poor man today? Abu Bakr replied: I did. Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: who visited a sick person today? Abu Bakr replied: I did. Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) then said: Anyone in whom these good deeds are combined will certainly enter Paradise.

Allahu Akbar! Abu Bakr (RA) invested all his energy, wealth and worries for the deen of Islam. Thus, he has reached the highest level of honour after the Prophets. May Allah also give us the ability to invest most of our time, wealth and energy for Islam.

A little boy is telling his Grandma how "everything" is going wrong. School, family problems, health problems, problems with friends, etc.
Meanwhile, Grandma is baking a cake. She asks her grandson if he would like a snack, which, of course, he does.
"Here, have some cooking oil." "Yuck" says the boy.
"How about a couple raw eggs?” "Gross, Grandma!"
"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?"
"Grandma, those are all yucky!"
To which Grandma replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!
Many times we wonder why he would let us go through such bad and difficult times.
But Allah knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!"

Once a famous Muslim Scholar of India was traveling by train. His seat was beside a Hindu man. Due to the extreme hatred for Muslims, the Hindu man moved away a little from the scholar. The scholar smiled at him and didn't get offended. After a while, the Hindu man took out a blanket and covered his body so that even the breath of the scholar doesn't touch his body. Later, the Hindu man had to go to the toilet. Upon seeing the dirty condition of the toilet, the Hindu man ran back saying "Raam Raam."
The scholar asked about what happened and the Hindu man said that the condition of the toilet is very disgusting. At that, the scholar got up and with some water went inside the toilet and cleaned the toilet completely. Then he came back to the Hindu man and told him to go in because it's now clean. The Hindu man didn't know what to do. But anyway, he went in and relieved himself. He is now thinking that no ordinary man could do what the Muslim scholar did. So, he came to the scholar and asked "Who taught you how to behave like this?" The scholar replied "Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)." Then the hindu man wanted to know more about Islam and the prophet. When they reached their destination, the Hindu man looked back to the scholar and said "I will never forget what you've taught me today.
Dear Muslims, People judge you mostly by the way you treat them & so your DEEN as well. Therefore, treat every human being in the best way as taught by Rasool ﷺ because your way of treating others count a lot.

Sultan Mahmood had a servant whose name was Ayyaz. Ayyaz was well known for his good manners and wisdom. Once, Sultan Mahmood was holding a precious jewel in his hand while sitting with his ministers. He told one of the ministers to break the jewel. Since the jewel was very expensive, the minister refused to break it. Then the Sultan told another minister to break it. He also denied breaking the jewel. One by one all the ministers refused to break the precious jewel due to its great value. Now, Sultan Mahmood passed the jewel to Ayyaz and told him to break it. Ayyaz immediately took the stone to his hand and threw it hard on the floor. The jewel shattered into pieces. The Sultan asked Ayyaz why he broke the jewel while others denied to do so. Ayyaz said "The jewel is valuable, but your order is more valuable."
We should learn from this story that even if the things of this world are very precious and valuable, the orders of Allah are much more valuable. So, we should follow them.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "There was an Israeli man called Juraij, while he was praying, his mother came and called him, but he did not respond to her call. He said (to himself) whether he should continue the prayer or reply to his mother. She came to him the second time and called him and said, "O Allah! Do not let him die until he sees the faces of prostitutes. "Juraij used to live in a hermitage. A woman said that she would entice Juraij, so she went to him and presented herself (for an evil act) but he refused. She then went to a shepherd and allowed him to commit an illegal sexual intercourse with her and later she gave birth to a boy. She alleged that the baby was from Juraij.
The people went to Juraij and broke down his hermitage, pulled him out of it and abused him. He performed ablution and offered the prayer, then he went to the male (baby) and asked him; "O boy! Who is your father?" The baby replied that his father was the shepherd. The people said that they would build for him a hermitage of gold but Juraij asked them to make it of mud only."

Allah's help is with those who are sincere to their faith.

Giving it away
Uqbah (RA) has narrated that he offered his 'Asr' salah with Rasulullah (SAW). At the end of salah Rasulullah (SAW) hastily got up and, stepping over the shoulders of the people, went to the houses of one of his wives. People, not knowing what the necessity was, were perplexed over his haste. On his return he perceived the people's anxiety and explained that he had suddenly remembered leaving behind a piece of gold in the house and he was afraid (lest his death should take place while he owned a piece of gold; which would become objectionable for him on the Day of Judgement). So, he had hurried home to tell them to distribute it immediately.

A Miracle of the Prophet
Imran bin Husain (RA) narrates that the companions of the Prophet (SAW) submitted to him their grievence about thirst during a journey. The Prophet (SAW) got down from his conveyance and ordered Ali (RA) and another person to go and serch for water. "So, they went accordingly. They met a woman possessing two small water-skins contaning water. They brought her to the Prophet (SAW).
The Prophet (SAW) caused a pot to be brought and poured in it the water of both the water-skins and asked the companions to drink from it. Imran (RA) stated: "We, the forty thirsty men drank water from it very well and we filled all our pots and water-skins with water. I swear by Allah Almighty that the water-skins (of the woman) seemed to be full with water than before."

It is stated on the authority of Abdullah bin Masood that the unbelievers of the Quraish had installed 360 idols in Ka'bah so strongly that their feet were fixed with lead. When Makkah was conquered and the Prophet (SAW) entered the Holy Ka'bah, he had a stick in his hand. With it, he started pointing towards the idols and reciting this verse: Truth has (now) arrived, and falsehood perished (Surah Al Isra:81). The idol, to which the Prophet (SAW) pointed on its front, fell down to its rear side and the idol, to which he pointed from its rear side, fell down flat on its front side.

Hadrat Abu Huraira (RA) is reported to have said that once he, in the company of the Holy Prophet (SAW), joined a funeral. When the Holy Prophet (SAW) reached the graveyard, he went to a grave and told that there was not a single day that the grave did not make the clear announcement. "Oh, the offspring of Adam! you have forgotten me, I am the place of solitude and I am the abode of loneliness, I am a lodging of much straitened provided the Almighty expands me in the case of a person whom He holds in esteem. After that the Holy Prophet (SAW) said: The grave is either one of the gardens of Paradise or one of the pits of hell.

Hadrath Ibn Abbas narrates: Holy Prophet (SAW) asked Umm Hani if there was anything to eat. Umm Hani (RA) said that there was only dry bread and she felt ashamed of offering it to him. He said: "No! Bring it." He broke the bread into pieces, dipped them into water and added some salt. Then he asked her if there was any curry. She said there was nothing except vinegar. He sent for it and then, sprinkling it over the crumbs, ate them and thanked Allah.

Allahu Akbar! How thankful our Prophet was to Allah even after getting such type of food. We now a day’s throw away better food than this.

Sahl ibne Sa'd (RA) narrates: Once a person passed by Rasulullah (SAW), (and) he asked someone sitting with him: What do you think of the passerby? He replied: He is among the respected of the society; and by Allah! If he proposes to a woman, he will be married; should he recommend something, his recommendation will be accepted. Rasulullah (SAW) kept his peace (silence). Then, another person passed by, and Rasulullah (SAW) asked (the man sitting with him, again): What is your opinion about this man? He answered: O Rasulullah! He is a poor of Muslims. If he proposes (for marriage), it will not be accepted; should he recommend (something), his recommendation will be rejected; and if he speaks, nobody will pay heed. Rasulullah (SAW) said: This man (the poor Muslim) is better than a whole world (full) of the like of that (the first one).

Abu Umamah (RA) narrates: Rasulullah (SallalahualaihiWasalam) said: Whoever stands up to perform his Wudhu, intending to offer Salah, then cleans his hands; the sins of his two hands fallout with the first drop of water. Then, when he rinses his mouth, and draws water into his nose and expels it; the sins of his tongue and two lips fallout with the first drop of water. Then, as he cleans his face, the sins of his hearing and seeing fallout with the first drop (of water). Then, when he cleans his two arms past the elbows, and his two feet past the ankles; he becomes free of all his offences and sins, just as was his state, the day his mother gave him birth. He (then) said: Then, when he stands for Salah; Allah elevates his position, and if he (merely) sits (without standing for Salah) even then his sitting is free of sins!

We take bath regularly to clean our body of dirts, but how many of us offer regular prayers daily to clean the real dirts (sins)?

Amr (RA) narrates that Prophet (SAW) one day delivered a sermon saying: Listen carefully! The world and its things are temporary commodity (and as such have no worth and value), shared and consumed by both the good and the evil people alike! Indeed, the Hereafter is truly a reality and will arrive at its appointed time in which Judgement will be made by a Powerful King. Listen carefully! Indeed all good, in all its varieties, is in Paradise! Indeed all evil, in all its varieties, is in the Fire. Understand it well; whatever you do, do it being fearful of Allah; and understand that you will be presented (in front of Allah) with you actions. Whosoever does an atom's worth of good, he will see it, and whosoever does an atom's worth of evil, he will see it!
