2015

The Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallalahualaiwaslam was born on the early morning of Monday, the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal (April 3rd, 571 AD) in Makkah. He was named Muhammad (the Praised one, peace be upon him) by his grand-father Abdul Muttalib. The ravages of time have destroyed the original building but the place is the same where stood Abdullah’s house the father of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), who belonged to the family of Hashim the noblest tribe of the clan of Quresh.

Qiblahtain Mosque is located in Madinah. Earlier the Muslims used to perform their prayers (Namaz) facing in the direction of “Baitul-Maqdis” ( Jerusalem ). Once during the second year of Hijrah (Migration) the Holy Prophet  Muhammad Ssallalahualaiwasalam was leading the prayers in the Qiblahtain mosque, at Banu Salma, when Allah’s command came to face The Kaaba during prayers, from then on towards. Hence the Mosque came to be known as Masjid-e-Qiblahtain, or the Mosque of two Qiblahs.

O people! Allah says, O men, who were created from a man and woman, divided into castes and tribes to identify each other; you are equal, but he is more respectable who fears Allah. All Muslims are brothers together. Be careful of the rights of your slaves. Men and women have their duties and rights to each other. Offer Namaz (prayers) to Allah five times daily, observe Roza (fasting) through out the full month of Ramadan, pay Zakat (some of stipulated amount allotted to all Muslims every year during the month of Ramadan, kind of charity) every year, perform the Hajj (the Pilgrimage) and obey your rulers. Thus enter the Heaven created by Allah.

This Cave, the sanctum of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), this is the same place where He worshipped Allah SWT. Cave of Hira is the place of His devotions and meditations. The Holy Quran was first Revealed here. The Cave is located on mount Al-Noor on the way to Mina near Makkah. It has a very high peak which is visible even from a great distance. It was during one of the nights in the month of Ramadan when Muhammad Sallalahualaiwaslam had just stepped into the forty-first year of his life, when the first 5 verses of the Surah Al-Alaque were Revealed to him.

The Battle of Badar is considered as the first Islamic war which took place between the believers of truth (Islam) and the forces of evil. The battle field of Badar is located at 60 miles from Madinah towards Makkah. There was a small group of only 313 Muslim men, of which merely 60 of them were armored facing a massive army of one thousand warriors well armed and equipped. The believers had the strength of their Faith in Allah SWT and His Prophet Muhammad Sallalahualaiwasalam. The Muslims fully believed in Allah SWT and His Prophet Muhammad Sallalahualaiwasalam, they knew that the Truth will emerge victorious and falsehood must be overpowered, destroyed and annihilated. Thus it was this very Faith which brought about the Miracle and Truth did triumph with the Muslims’ victory in the Battle of Badar. The courage and valor with which Prophet Muhammad Sallalahualaiwasalam along with his cousin Hazrat Ali AS and their small group of Believers fought the Non-Believers have set an example for all of us to follow. We too must have the same Faith and Belief in our Allah SWT and always lead the righteous path.

Abu Sufyan had succeeded in forming a military alliance which consisted of the Jews and various tribes of the Arabs. when the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahualaihiwasalam was informed about this huge army, He called a meeting of His Companions. As per the suggestion of Hazrat Salman Farsi, a trench of a depth of five cubits and width of more than ten cubits was dug, all around.  The ten thousand, strong and well equipped army of Quresh tried to cross it for 25 days but in-vain.  Finally, the army began to succumb and Abu Sufyan was forced to retreat to Makkah in sheer frustration.

Who goes first?
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
The Prophet collected every two martyrs of Uhud (in one grave) and then he would ask, "Which of them knew the Quran more?" And if one of them was pointed out for him as having more knowledge, he would put him first in the Lahd. The Prophet said, "I will be a witness on these on the Day of Resurrection." Then he ordered them to be buried with their blood on their bodies and he did not have them washed.

Before people were honoured according to the knowledge of Islam but sadly today, people are honoured according to the knowledge of this material world.
May Allah give us the ability to appreciate those who excel in the knowledge of Islam.

Once there was a king who told some of his workers to dig a pond. Once the pond was dug, the king made an announcement to his people saying that one person from each household has to bring a glass of milk during the night and pour it into the pond. So, the pond should be full of milk by the morning. After receiving the order, everyone went home. One man prepared to take the milk during the night. He thought that since everyone will bring milk, he could just hide a glass of water and pour inside the pond. Because it will be dark at night, no one will notice. So he quickly went and poured the water in the pond and came back. In the morning, the king came to visit the pond and to his surprise the pond was only filled with water! What has happened is that everyone was thinking like the other man that "I don't have to put the milk, someone else will do it."
Dear friends, when it comes to help the Religion of Allah, do not think that others will take care of it. Rather, it starts from you, if you don't do it, no one else will do it. So, change yourself to the way of Allah to serve Him and that will make the difference.

Abu Hurairah narrates: Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) once asked us: Who is fasting today? Abu Bakr said: I am. Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who followed a bier today? Abu Bakr said: I did. Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who fed a poor man today? Abu Bakr replied: I did. Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: who visited a sick person today? Abu Bakr replied: I did. Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) then said: Anyone in whom these good deeds are combined will certainly enter Paradise.

Allahu Akbar! Abu Bakr (RA) invested all his energy, wealth and worries for the deen of Islam. Thus, he has reached the highest level of honour after the Prophets. May Allah also give us the ability to invest most of our time, wealth and energy for Islam.

A little boy is telling his Grandma how "everything" is going wrong. School, family problems, health problems, problems with friends, etc.
Meanwhile, Grandma is baking a cake. She asks her grandson if he would like a snack, which, of course, he does.
"Here, have some cooking oil." "Yuck" says the boy.
"How about a couple raw eggs?” "Gross, Grandma!"
"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?"
"Grandma, those are all yucky!"
To which Grandma replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!
Many times we wonder why he would let us go through such bad and difficult times.
But Allah knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!"

Once a famous Muslim Scholar of India was traveling by train. His seat was beside a Hindu man. Due to the extreme hatred for Muslims, the Hindu man moved away a little from the scholar. The scholar smiled at him and didn't get offended. After a while, the Hindu man took out a blanket and covered his body so that even the breath of the scholar doesn't touch his body. Later, the Hindu man had to go to the toilet. Upon seeing the dirty condition of the toilet, the Hindu man ran back saying "Raam Raam."
The scholar asked about what happened and the Hindu man said that the condition of the toilet is very disgusting. At that, the scholar got up and with some water went inside the toilet and cleaned the toilet completely. Then he came back to the Hindu man and told him to go in because it's now clean. The Hindu man didn't know what to do. But anyway, he went in and relieved himself. He is now thinking that no ordinary man could do what the Muslim scholar did. So, he came to the scholar and asked "Who taught you how to behave like this?" The scholar replied "Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)." Then the hindu man wanted to know more about Islam and the prophet. When they reached their destination, the Hindu man looked back to the scholar and said "I will never forget what you've taught me today.
Dear Muslims, People judge you mostly by the way you treat them & so your DEEN as well. Therefore, treat every human being in the best way as taught by Rasool ﷺ because your way of treating others count a lot.

Sultan Mahmood had a servant whose name was Ayyaz. Ayyaz was well known for his good manners and wisdom. Once, Sultan Mahmood was holding a precious jewel in his hand while sitting with his ministers. He told one of the ministers to break the jewel. Since the jewel was very expensive, the minister refused to break it. Then the Sultan told another minister to break it. He also denied breaking the jewel. One by one all the ministers refused to break the precious jewel due to its great value. Now, Sultan Mahmood passed the jewel to Ayyaz and told him to break it. Ayyaz immediately took the stone to his hand and threw it hard on the floor. The jewel shattered into pieces. The Sultan asked Ayyaz why he broke the jewel while others denied to do so. Ayyaz said "The jewel is valuable, but your order is more valuable."
We should learn from this story that even if the things of this world are very precious and valuable, the orders of Allah are much more valuable. So, we should follow them.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "There was an Israeli man called Juraij, while he was praying, his mother came and called him, but he did not respond to her call. He said (to himself) whether he should continue the prayer or reply to his mother. She came to him the second time and called him and said, "O Allah! Do not let him die until he sees the faces of prostitutes. "Juraij used to live in a hermitage. A woman said that she would entice Juraij, so she went to him and presented herself (for an evil act) but he refused. She then went to a shepherd and allowed him to commit an illegal sexual intercourse with her and later she gave birth to a boy. She alleged that the baby was from Juraij.
The people went to Juraij and broke down his hermitage, pulled him out of it and abused him. He performed ablution and offered the prayer, then he went to the male (baby) and asked him; "O boy! Who is your father?" The baby replied that his father was the shepherd. The people said that they would build for him a hermitage of gold but Juraij asked them to make it of mud only."
